Metal Structure Welding and Assembly in Yerevan

Contour fabricates metal structures in mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium—from cutting and part preparation through welding, assembly, and final surface finishing.

We work on both one-off fabrications and production orders.

Welding methods

We use:

• laser welding for clean, visible, and precise welds;

• MIG/MAG semi-automatic welding for hidden joints or connections requiring additional strength;

• electrode welding for construction brackets, trusses, and other suitable structural work.

Laser welding allows us to work with steel sheet from 0.5 mm and aluminium sheet from 0.8 mm. The approach for thicker materials and more complex joints is determined by the material, loading requirements, and project.

Complete fabrication in one place

We can manage the full manufacturing process:

• laser cutting;

• sheet-metal and pipe bending;

• pipe and profile rolling;

• part cutting and preparation;

• welding and assembly;

• weld cleaning, grinding, and finishing;

• arranging painting or protective coatings where required.

Large structures can be designed and fabricated in modules when they need to be transported or assembled inside enclosed spaces.

Precision assembly

We use dedicated welding tables, assembly platforms, and, where needed, custom jigs to achieve repeatable dimensions.

The required tolerance is established for each project. For example, on curved LED-display frames, we can achieve accuracy down to ±0.5 mm, allowing modules to assemble into a smooth cylindrical screen surface.

Construction brackets, trusses, and load-bearing elements require an appropriate architect’s and structural engineer’s design.

Weld and surface finishing

For designer furniture frames, welds are cleaned and finished so that they are as inconspicuous as possible after painting.

For stainless steel, we can:

• clean and polish welded joints;

• create satin or linear finishes;

• restore a mirror finish so the processed area blends with the base surface.

Aluminium parts can receive a satin or polished finish. In practice, aluminium structures are often powder-coated.

Painting and protective coatings

We can apply various anti-corrosion paints. Galvanising can be arranged for smaller parts, while powder coating for larger fabrications can be arranged through partners.

Assembly involving glass, wood, fasteners, mechanisms, or other non-metal components is considered individually for each project.
